News

It’s a constant challenge keeping on top of maintaining this fine old gem of a building. 400 years of Lakeland weather takes its toll! Most of our roof has now been re-slated, putting paid to the days of dashing round with buckets in every downpour, to catch the drips. William Wordsworth, once our neighbour, would surely still recognise the historic interiors, whilst current visitors love the fine beers, fine food and fabulous staff.
