Xmas & New Year

Enjoy a picture perfect Christmas in the heart of the Lake District. With roaring log fires in the bar and someone else doing all the cooking and washing up, all you have to do is relax in the stunning surroundings. There is a good chance of snow on the high fells, and the certainty of mulled wine on the bar. No formality here, just a friendly and laid back country inn atmosphere. Go on bracing walks or do nothing except over-indulge, it’s all fine by us.

Christmas Eve: Open as normal for food, drinks and B&B. Usual menu plus seasonal specials

Christmas Day: 12noon - 3pm bar open for drinks only. Christmas 3 course dinner (reservations essential ) @ 4pm (time TBC)

26th - 30th December: Open as normal 12pm - 10pm

New Year’s Eve: Open until at least midnight. Free entry. Food reservations as normal, though we may serve a bit later than usual.
