A Superior room featuring a huge super-king solid oak four-poster bed, comfortable seating, large TV, and its own balcony. This room is many people’s favourite, full of character and history, with a definite “wow” factor. There is a stunning new bathroom with cast-iron claw-foot bath and separate shower.

“We had a wonderful stay: the staff were lovely, the food was lovely and the room was lovely. We had a suite with an enormous French window opening out on to a grassy bank with trees, which you could step out of and sit in chairs provided there. We also enjoyed cool drinks in the pretty beer garden in the sunshine. The location is beautiful, with a gorgeous walk alongside Rydal water directly opposite the hotel. To top it all, we had the privilege of watching the badgers come out to feed in the evenings, a matter of feet away from us. We have already booked to come back!”
